2 Minute Tutorial: How to make Sparks in After Effects

Quick Steps:

  1. Make a new layer and add a CC Particle Word

  2. Change CC Particle World properties: birth rate, longevity, radius x and y, gravity, particle colour

  3. Add a glow effect and duplicate

  4. Change the transfer mode to add

  5. Add to your shot/scene

Things to try:

  • Change properties (particle size, particle colour, birth rate) of the CC particle World to make the sparks fit to your needs

  • Add them on to live footage or motion graphics.
